About me

Hi, I’m Leah.

In 2009, I embarked on my first solo adventure outside of the U.S., venturing to Morocco for a study abroad program. Stepping out of my comfort zone into a culture vastly different from my own was both unnerving and exciting. However, in that discomfort, I learned and grew immensely, discovered a profound sense of self, and felt a sense of belonging that forever changed me. It was an experience I was determined to carry forward.

As the granddaughter of immigrants, I was also inherently drawn to learning about different cultures and curious about the world around me.

Fast forward thirteen years, I’ve had the privilege of weaving travel into both my professional and personal life, exploring over 40 countries across 5 continents. Nearly half of these journeys were for my work in social impact, and the majority were solo adventures. Along the way, I’ve been deeply inspired to promote authentic, local, and sustainable travel.

Through Leah’s Travel List, I help people not only find space for travel in their lives, but discover the transformative power of travel to foster a deeper understanding of themselves and of the world around them. My mission is to inspire others to embark on more meaningful journeys, travel more authentically and locally, and have a positive impact on the places they visit.
